Uttar Pradesh showed that they really care about the environment : PM Modi
Lucknow Focus News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was talking on his show Mann Ki Baat on Sunday. He said that the people of Uttar Pradesh did something extraordinary under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
He said that the people of Uttar Pradesh showed that they can work together to achieve something. They planted than 35 lakh saplings in one day on July 12.
As a Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this makes him very proud.
The Prime Minister said that people over the country are doing their part to help the environment through the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. When people work together like this they can achieve things.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that trees are important for all living things, not humans.
He asked everyone to plant a tree in their mothers name on a day.
He said that a small tree planted today can make a difference tomorrow. It can provide air and a better life for our children.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote a post on media to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for talking about Uttar Pradesh in Mann Ki Baat.
In his post Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words about Uttar Pradesh planting 35 lakh in one day under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign show that the state is committed to protecting the environment.
The Chief Minister said that what Uttar Pradesh did shows that when people care about nature they can build a foundation for a better future.
He promised that Uttar Pradesh will keep working to protect the environment and make the country a better place, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
